Place Wikis

The wiki format seems natural for building up a guide to a locality. There [camel toe] are a few examples of this, including:

• [DavisWiki] - this vibrant and interesting wiki for Davis, CA is possibly one of the largest locality wikis out there.
• [The Open Guide to London] - this is the most substantial example of a place [hentai] wiki I know of.
• There are a couple wiki sites devoted to setting open wireless networks for a city. These include [PersonalTelco], for Portland, Ore., and http://www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/ for Seattle.
• [The Ypsilanti Eyeball] is a set of pages for Ypsilanti, Michigan.
• [TransitCat.com] incorporates a wiki as part of an open guide to public transportation in the greater New York City area
